LPK 1970s

I shall turn back the clock for a couple of posts in order to get in a few more pics of Grandma's stay.

The clock was also being turned back at the LPK where the theme for the Sunday lunch mum and I attended was the 1970s.
Our hosts were Mary-Mary and TC, our fellow diners were book club cronies, Beth and Mons. Mons managed to skip the '70s by being born in 1986. A trip down memory lane for the rest of us was a history lesson for Mons.
After our cheese and cocktail onions on sticks we sat down for a prawn cocktail starter. Happily Mary-Mary, while ensuring that we sampled the best in 1970s-style cuisine, did not make us drink Liebfraumilch.
Our main course was a splendid Crown of Lamb and dessert was a chocolate fondue. Mmmmm.
Well fed courtesy of the LPK. Gotta love a lunch that lasts until tea-time!

TPPS Christmas Concert 2011

Unfortunately I ran out of camera memory and battery before I got to video Freya's class's Christmas concert dance. Fortunately I have a very mature and forgiving eldest daughter. The year 3 classes grooved and sang to LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem. I googled the lyrics, I shouldn't have!

Beautiful...even when wearing a fluorescent green headband and singing about 'ho's and 'booty' and 'being on some guy's 'jock''.
I did, however, capture the splendour of the Pre-Primary classes shaking their collective things in entirety.
Behold the magnificence!:

Friendship Skills!!!

Think I might have cracked the 'posting videos onto the blog' conundrum...
Keep watching this piece of cinematic excellence for one of the highlights of the TP Primary School Christmas concert.

First world problems

Mum left yesterday.
*Big sigh*
Bye Grandma, see you next year xxx

The job I wanted to just slide into will be advertised next year, so no sliding, I'll have to do an application.
*Big sigh*
Still nothing from the PATS office about getting Ade down to Perth for his pre-op op on Friday.
*Big sigh*

But on the bright side:
School concert tonight.
I have a new friend. She is entirely gorgeous. She wrote me a sweet note and brought round this heavenly package of awesome stuff because she knew I'd be feeling sad today.
I have incredible friends xxxx
