The Rooneys came round to see us today. They were my first WA friends; I met them a whole lifetime ago when we picked grapes together in the Clare Valley. We stayed in touch by mail...in a time before facebook, texting, skype, email and blogs! Fate (/Ade) brought me to Perth, we met up again and recommenced our friendship.
Today we said another goodbye and it was sad, Jenny and I had a little weep; however, my wonderful and enduring friendship with Jenny and Paul (and the gorgeous Daniel and Isobel) reassures me. Distance and time has no impact on true friendship, I still have a few pals in the UK who can vouch for that! We are looking forward to 'meeting up' with all our friends again xx
